YoJoe

1. Fans have a LOT of helicopter personnel on the Joe Team -- six to be exact including WIld Bill, Pilot Scarlett, Lift Ticket and Airborne. However, fans still don't have a helicopter. When can collectors expect to see a Dragonfly, Tomahawk, or something to give our rotory wing warriors a ride?

Hasbro: There is no current plan for the re-release of a classic helicopter before the movie. We hear what you are asking for and will look into what we can do. .

2.Fans have multiple Zartan figures and all of the original Dreaknoks. So when can collectors complete the Zartan's familiy tree with Zandar and Zarana figures?

Hasbro: With some key Joe's and Cobra's still left to do, it does not look like we will be doing Zandar and Zarana.

孩之宝目前没有计划发行Zandar和Zarana。

3. While the line focuses heavily on first and second tier characters like Duke, Cobra Commander, Snake Eyes and Zartan, it's currently missing a few key players. Where are Ripcord, Recondo, Lowlight, Dialtone, Dr. Mindbender and the other iconic cartoon and comic personalities and when can collectors add these to their collections?

Hasbro: Ripcord will not be out before [the] movie. Recondo and Dr. Mindbender are on the way. No official word yet on Dial Tone and Low-Light. (editor's note: this sounds VERY good for Dial Tone and Low-Light in my opinion!)

孩之宝即将官方公布Recondo和Dr. Mindbender。对于Dial Tone和Low-Light的发行计划,目前无可奉告。

4. Transformers is one of - if not the MOST - popular Hasbro toy line on shelves today and every Hasbro property seems to have a Transformers cross-over, including both Marvel and Star Wars. So where's the G.I. Joe and Transformers cross-over toy line? The two have crossed over multiple times in comics and a transforming Rattler into Starscream or HISS Tank into Megatron would be amazing.

Hasbro: We know that many of our fans would love to see a cross-over between G.I. Joe and Transformers, but for the short-term the goal of both brands is to drive the movie based fantasy and create top tier-brands for a new generation of kids. Once we do that perhaps we can evaluate a cross-over as the icing on the cake.

5. Hasbro's Star Wars line currently includes a "Droid Factory" build-a-droid bonus with its individual figures. Is somthing like this possible with the Joe line and when can collectors expect to be building a SNAKE armor, which could easily be broken down into six component parts and packaged with single carded figures.

Hasbro: We have the MASS Device on shelf as we speak with our DVD packs. We will not be doing a build-a-SNAKE Armor this year.

build-a-SNAKE活动不在今年的发行计划中。

JOhio.org

JOhio: 1. Is there a chance we will see the Rattler and the Conquest re-released through mass retail, possibly with new paint jobs, as we saw with the HISS Tank, Awestriker, and the Sharc?

Habro: You can get the Rattler and Conquest at Target right now and there is a good chance you will see repaints of these on-shelf prior to the movie.

JOhio: 2. Besides what has already been revealed, are we going to be seeing anymore "Real American Hero" based vehicles before the movie?

Hasbro: Yes.

JOhio: 3. Can Hasbro attempt to create an industry standard within its own firm and with other firms of 4" figures to keep the lines coherent in size and shape over the next few years to further allow interplay between all action figure lines?

Hasbro: The 3 3/4'' standard figure worked in the 80's but today our design teams need the flexibility to do 4'' figures for taller characters and 3.5'' for shorter ones. We don’t want to put too many contraints on the design teams, but rather let them make the best figures possible.

JOhio: 4. Now that we have gotten the Tiger Force versions of Duke and Flint, when will we receive the Ninja Force versions of Snake Eyes and Storm Shadow?

Hasbro: There are no plans for this before the movie.

JOhio: 5. The Tomy Gacha Vending machines are now advertising the G.I. Joe logo on many of their advertisements, is there a new vending machine toy product coming? If so, what can we expect to be able to purchase in little plastic capsules?

Hasbro: Sorry, this is still top secret information.

扭蛋GIJoe的开发计划属于高度机密消息,无可奉告。

G.I. Joe Collectors' Club

GIJCC Question 1: When will we see a preview of the G.I. Joe: Resolute action figures?

Hasbro Answers: We are working with some collector publications to make a big splash about Resolute before the end of the year.

GIJCC Question 2: Do you have any updates on when we will see a trailer for the G.I. Joe: Rise of Cobra movie?

Hasbro Answers: We do not have an update at this time, this is a Paramount studio decision.

GIJCC Question 3: How about making Cobra: Python Patrol vehicles?

Hasbro Answers: We have one on tap in spring 2009.

孩之宝将在2009年春季发行一部Python Patrol载具。

GIJCC Question 4: Now that we have the two leaders, do you have any plans to complete the G.I. Joe: Tiger Force team?

Hasbro Answers: You may see one or two more, but no plans to release the whole team.

GIJCC Question 5: We've noticed that you've been adding ranks to a lot of the characters, also "G.I. Joe" or "Dreadnok" in front of their codenames, even giving the full name as part of the character name. So how is it determined which method of renaming occurs? Why do some get a rank, some get a full name and some get G.I. Joe?

Hasbro Answers: This is based on legal reasons. Our preference is to keep the original code name or add a rank to it. If this is not possible we then consider using the full name or changing the name slightly to get a new trademark.

Figures.Com

1. Images of Storm Shadow, Cobra Commander and Duke figures which bear a striking resemblance to their 2002 G.I.Joe vs. Cobra counterparts have shown up online and rumor has it these are the new G.I. Joe: Resolute figures. Is there any confirmation of this and when can fans expect to see the Resolute line?

Hasbro: There is no confirmation on this and you will see the new Resolute images in some of your favorite collector publications in the coming months...

2. Internet buzz has recently grown regarding the use of the same head sculpt for multiple characters (ie: Gung-Ho's headsculpt for Cutter and now Leatherneck) and die-hard fans are starting to feel these characters are lose their distinct and defining personalities. Is this a cost-saving technique fans and collectors can expect to see in future figures?

Hasbro: We have heard collector feedback on this and will try and improve. This is something we use more often to save time rather than to save money.

3. Die-hard and new fans alike are absolutely in love with the new Sideshow Toys' 1:6 scale G.I.Joe figures; however, these figures seem to deviate from character designs which many collectors are used to seeing. Who decides what direction (looks, accessories, features) these high-end 1:6 scale figures will take on - Hasbro, Sideshow or a collaboration? Fans and collectors alike would love to know more about the magic behind this truly impressive new series...

Hasbro: Sideshow has outdone themselves with G.I. Joe! The figures are a collaboration between the toy design team at Hasbro and the design team at Sideshow. All sides have a ton of passion for the brand and are determined to put out great work.

4. Fans now have a Tiger Force Flint with new arms and gloves. When can collectors expect to see everyone's favorite Warrant Officer in his more traditional uniform and colors?

Hasbro: The Hall of Heroes coming out this spring will feature Flint with gloves and all!

The Hall of Heroes系列将于明年春季被推出,其中将包括带着手套的火石。

5. With the G.I. Joe live-action movie less then 11 months away, when can fans expect to see other multi-media tie-ins -- such as video games, online contest, etc -- similar to what fans saw with the release of the Transformers film last year?

Hasbro: The full blockbuster treatment that Transformers received will also be seen with G.I. Joe. You can expect to see things really heat up in the months before the movie...

JoeBattlelines

1) Will all of the known movie Joes (Heavy Duty, Ripcord, and Cover Girl) see a 25th anniversary salute before they are released in the movie line? If
not, why?

There is no plan for HD, Ripcord, or Cover Girl before the movie. We do not want kids to get these figures from the shelf and get confused as the movie product becomes available. There may be a classic opportunity for these figures down the road.

在电影发行之前,孩之宝不计划发行Heavy Duty, Ripcord, and Cover Girl的经典版玩偶。

2) With regards to the episodes featured, what criteria were used in the determining the content of the "Best of" DVD set? Even in the mindset of "pushing product on the shelves" the choice of episodes were a bit odd and not on many fans personal best of list, nor did it seem that many were doing a good job of promoting product on the shelves.

Hasbro selected the episodes featured in the "Best Of" DVD based on reponses from a poll run on the G.I. Joe Collectors' Club website in early 2008.

3) Recent images from upcoming waves seem to favor repainted figures with new accessories over previously-unreleased characters. Is this a sign that the A Real American Hero line is winding down in favor of movie-themed product? After the Movie toy line hits store shelves, is there any way that we can still get at least a few "classic" figures that haven't been made yet (maybe through store exclusives)?

As the G.I. Joe tooling library gets bigger and bigger you will see more use of existing tools. However, there are still many more new figures coming down the line in spring 2009 and an explosion of movie figures.

4) Will the Resolute figure be styled in such a way that they stick out from the regular 25th anniversary figures or will they blend in? The Resolute Zap that has appeared on various upcoming lists has raised concerns that Zap will not fit in well with the rest of the original 13.

The Resolute figures will fit with the classic figures.

5) Will there be more DVD packs or something similar to come after this first run of "MASS Device" packs? Will there any more new Hama comics included in the comic packs, or has that shipped sailed (it seems Wave 7 2008 shows a return to reprints of the classics?)

There will only be 5 DVD packs which will extend into spring 2009. The comic packs will be getting new IDW comic books after Wave 7.

JoeSightings/General's Joes

1. Fans have been asking for Pythona, Cool Breeze, Mangler, cartoon Space Shock Troopers, and other media-exclusive figures for years, but we have still haven't gotten them. Instead we're getting oddities such as Hard Master, "do-jo" Snake Eyes, a skeleton in an upcoming DVD set, and endless repaints of the same four core characters. With such a fever pitch going on for the line, why can't we get some more never-before-seen characters that have also contributed to the G.I. Joe mythos? Hard Master at least is a step in the right direction, but why not others who are arguably more popular? Especially when all the fan requested figures could be made with existing parts, just with new heads?

For the past year we have been balancing creating figures for our core fans and keeping figures on the shelf which are welcoming to more casual fans from the 80's (and kids) who want to get back into G.I. Joe. For this reason, you are likely to see a Snake Eyes on shelf at all times. We also try and mix in newness and cool figures hence Wraith, Matt Trakker, Para Viper, and the original 13.

2. With the releases of the classic vehicle molds such as the Vamp and HISS in their window packaging, are there any plans to extend into the smaller playsets such as the Cobra Battle Bunker, Checkpoint Alpha, and Bivouac?

We are looking into this and hope to be able to announce something soon.

孩之宝正在研究发行小型场景的可能性。

3. I know we've heard that the articulation and body style for the movie toys will be the same or similar as the Anniversary toys. However, many movie based toy properties also have spring-loaded "action features". Can we expect stuff like that with the movie toys, or can we hope that the figures themselves will maintain their full normal range of motion and articulation?

The 3 3/4'' movie figures will maintain the same high level of articulation and detailed styling as the 25th Anniversary line. Any "action features" will be separate pieces that can be added to the figures.

4. Although fans have been actively wondering why the original 13 were not produced initially as part of the 25th line, is there a strategic plan that rolls out characters from successive years (i.e. 2009 = 1984/85, etc)?

The original anniversary plan was only a few waves of figures, so we started with the best figures from the G.I. Joe history. There is/was no plan with regards to specific years and figures.

5. You have been asked numerous times (and will probably continue to be asked numerous times) about missing characters like Ripcord, Dr. Mindbender, Recondo, etc... but perhaps we can ask it a different way. Is Hasbro consciously avoiding the production of core characters of the Joe mythos so that they can potentially release them in a "post movie" style toyline? We all know that Transformers Classics essentially returned after the movie stuff with the Universe line, is Hasbro concerned that they will run out of popular/famous characters if they don't keep some characters "in the hopper" for future release? That's about the only explanation we can think of, because many of these highly desired characters would fit seamlessly into comic packs with mostly existing parts. Can we at least get some kind of explanation or information about why such key characters seem to be getting ignored?

Many of these figures are coming before movie. A couple such as Ripcord and Heavy Duty are not being released before the movie so we don’t confuse our new kid consumers getting into the brand. Most of the major characters fans have asked for will be delivered before the movie.

JoeReloaded

1.) How will future comics included in comic packs fit with the known Joe universes? Will they fit with the old Hama-at-Marvel universe? Stand alone issues that could fit anywhere? Explicitly part of the new universe at IDW? Movie comics? A little bit of everything?

In spring 2009 the in-pack comics will take place in the G.I. Joe Resolute universe and will be written by Larry Hama.

2009春,漫画包中的漫画将变成Larry Hama执笔的基于Resolute背景的新作品。

2.) Are there any plans to resume putting original comics in the comic packs? Who will write the comics?

Yes, starting in 2009 we will have brand new comics written by Larry Hama and produced by our partners at IDW.

3.) Are there any plans on releasing the comics from the comic packs as a series of trade paperbacks?

There are no plans for this right now, but it is possible down the line.

4.) Any plans for a possible Adventure Team Comic anywhere down the line?

No plans for this at this time.

5.) How do you plan to introduce new characters, to the comics, tied in with the merchandise? Should we expect to see two or three separate lines of toys based on all mediums? During the marvel run it seemed like the toys pushed the comics, but now with the Movie / Cartoon/ 3 comic adventures / and the 25th line how do you plan on proceeding?

You will see a single toy line next year once we get to the movie. From a comic perspective you will see a number of IDW comics.

JoeBattlelines

1)With the upcoming movie figures getting closer and closer, the fan based is split between worried and excitement. After the movie toys die down, will you revert back to the 25th line of action figures and
continue going through the line making the other figures?

We are still working out the post-movie plan and how classic figures will fit into the plan. Our hope is that the movie figures will not die down and it will be like the 80's all over again for a new generation of kids.

2)Any plans for a play set for the 25th Anniversary or the movie figures, now that you've seen how well the line has done? Even if you cannot commit to an answer as of now, can you give us a percentage of our chance?

You will not see a "major" playset before the G.I. Joe movie. It is possible (50%) that the classic mini battle stations will make a comeback before movie.

小场景玩具发布可能性再次得到确认。

3)The sub-team figures so far (python patrol officer, tiger force Flint)have both sold well. Will you be doing any other sub-teams?

We will have a couple more sub-team figures and vehicles.

4)G.I. Joe has many, MANY fans not only in the U.S. but across the globe, does Hasbro have any plans to create a shipping department that sends items to Canada, Europe or other places outside the U.S.?

Once the G.I. Joe movie hits, we hope that we wont need to ship product to other countries because they will have them on their own local store shelves.

希望能在电影发行前完成国际版玩具发行计划。

5) You have been asked many times, and will so many more, but are there any new developments about the status of the Season 2 Volume 2 DVD set?

No new developments at this time…but we are still looking into the re-release the full set.

ActionFigs.Com

Q: Will there be any more classic 1980's 3 3/4"" figures after fall 2008?

A: In late 2008 you will see a bonus wave of single figures and classic comic packs that are redecos of figures from the 25th Anniversary collection. Due to the huge success of the G.I. Joe line, we were able to squeeze in a number additional figures into the end of this year. But this does not mean the end of classic figures or new tooling! As we head into 2009 prior to the August 2009 live-action movie G.I. Joe: The Rise of Cobra, you will see newly tooled classic vehicles, newly tooled versions of your favorite characters from G.I. Joe Resolute, and a number of favorites you have been waiting for: Dr. Mindbender, Alpine, Tunnel Rat, Alley Viper, Recondo, Outback, Night Creeper, Zap, Shockwave, and even more! With the release of the 2009 movie you will see many of your favorite 1980's characters in movie styling, but that does not mean the end of the classic style. The Hasbro G.I. Joe Team recognizes that there are plenty of additional classic 1980's figures and vehicles to release in the future after the movie and in the years to come."

Dr. Mindbender,Alpine,Tunnel Rat,Alley Viper,Recondo,Outback,Night Creeper,Zap,Shockwave确认。

Q: With the upcoming Gi Joe Resolute cartoon, and the figures that are done for the series, will there be vehicles also with a more realistic style we will most likely see in the TV series made? With the more adult fans these figures will most likely attract, there is already many military vehicle fans who also collect Gi Joes, who would like a more realistic approach, like the recent Indiana Jones Cargo Truck and Troop car which many 1:18 scale Military collectors also purchased.

A: While the vehicles you will see in Resolute will be more realistic, they will not cross over into military. For the toy line, we are going to continue with classic vehicles into the spring.

Q: Considering the upcoming release of GI Joe Specialist: Trakker figure is there any chance that this may be a sort of testing of the proverbial waters for a return of M.A.S.K.? Perhaps in the 3 3/4" scale?

A: The Matt Trakker figure was not a test, but a tribute to a line that many Joe fans from the 80's had a connection with. No plans for M.A.S.K. to return right now.

Q: Is there a possibility that any other M.A.S.K. characters might make an appearance in the GI Joe line?
A: No, Matt Trakker was a one-of-a-kind.

Q: Is there any chance that future sculpts could feature wrists in more natural positions given the fairly limited range of motion in the  elbows?

A: Currently figures such as the Cobra Viper (though there are many others with which this is the case - Roadblock being another good example) feature sculpts where the wrists are angled out away from the body, making it difficult - I have found - to pose them holding their weapons in both hands. The current style might be more correct if they were able to hold their weapons with the butts against their shoulders, but the current range of motion in the elbows doesn't allow for that. It's been my thought that if the wrists were sculpted to be bent in the other direction, it might be easier and more natural looking to get them holding their rifles with both hands. Thank you for the feedback. We have passed it on to our design team.

感谢玩家对25周年系列玩具手部关节的改进意见,孩之宝已经将这些意见送交他们的设计团队。

Q: So far the reuse of parts between various characters has generally been quite successful, and it's often quite difficult to discern which characters share parts without closer inspection! I understand how well this may help in keeping costs down, and therefore helps in keeping us fans in new recruits for our collections. However, the reuse of head sculpts is starting to become quite a sticking point with many collectors. Is this something we can continue to expect, or is it possible that we might be able to expect some improvements here with the continued success of the line?

A: The Cutter figure in the upcoming series of three-packs is of particular consternation to myself - he not only looks exactly like Gung-Ho when I feel he should look much more distinct, but he's also ended up wearing a head cover which to my knowledge has never been used by the Coast Guard. I understand that it saves money, but in cases like this it often comes off as a major cheat. Thanks for the feedback and we will do our best to improve this in the future. Many times our exclusive figures (such as Cutter) are planned after the mainline and do not have the time or budget to account for new heads...thus our design team uses the best tool available to make the best figure.

HISSTank

#1. Within the last couple of months several Comic Con Exclusive Gold Destro's have surfaced on the secondary market with the date code stamp "81921". Can these figures be considered legit? If not can you shed some light on this situation?

#1. A. According to the engineering team, the code on the back of package is a vendor code and no more Gold Destros have been, or will be, produced.

#2. Are we going to see the likes of Recondo and Dr. Mindbender?

#2. A. Yes!

#3. Can you give us one surprise that fans may not have expected?

#3. A. Chuckles!

Chuckles制作确认。

#4. Are the resolute figures going to consist of new molds or are they going to be mainly repaints of the existing figures. Examples are Duke, SS, CC and SE. Is there anything else you can tell us about resolute? Perhaps there's a promotional website for the series on it's way?

#4. A. There is a promotional website on the way for Resolute. The figures will primarily new molds.

#5. We already know the figures up to Wave 13 Can you list the the final waves and the figures included. How many waves are left until the change over to Movie Toys.

#5. A. Sorry, we do not release specific wave and remix info. You can expect to see a new wave of single packs about every other month.

Toy News International

TNI: Has an air date for the new G.I.Joe “Resolute” micro-series been set yet and where exactly will these episodes be shown?

Hasbro: We are still working on finalizing the plan for “Resolute” and hope to make an announcement within the next month.

TNI: Will "Resolute" figures come in the same type of packaging as regular Joe figures?

Hasbro: Resolute figures will have some minor graphics changes on the package but will be based on the 25th Anniversary/classic style.

TNI: When can we expect to see the first teaser trailer debut for the G.I.Joe movie?

Hasbro: This is a Paramount studio driven decision, so we are waiting on pins and needles just like you.

TNI: Are there any more mail-away exclusives like the Doc figure being planned at this time?

Hasbro: There are many exclusives being planned, but no mail away figures for 2009.

2009年孩之宝将不会发行任何mail away玩具。

TNI: Will we see established characters (meaning no greenshirts or cobra soldiers) killed during the course of the “Resolute” series?

Hasbro: Yes.

Action Figure Insider

Q1. Is there any chance of seeing Cover Girl in the 3¾” line before the focus shifts over to the movie figures?

A1. No.

Q2. Since Sgt. Slaughter is apparently impossible, would Hasbro be interested in making Super Cop? He was a Funskool character and since Hasbro has been re-making international figures in the 25th line a Super Cop figure would be a great way to get the Sarge without getting the Sarge. Super Cop would be a very niche product that may not appeal to our broader base.

A2. The brand feels they should either do a Sarge figure correctly or not do it at all.

Q3. Is there a good chance we’ll see singles like Alpine, Low-Light, Dr. Mindbender, and Quick Kick?

A3. While you will see Alpine, Quick Kick, and Dr. Mindbender in the line, you will not get them single carded.

孩之宝不计划出挂卡的Alpine,Quick Kick和Dr. Mindbender。

Q4. I don’t think too many of us expect to see the return of the U.S.S. Flag (although we’d love it!) But are there currently any plans to give us any classic play sets to go along with our sweet figures and vehicles? Joe Base? Checkpoint? Etc?

A4. We are looking into some smaller classic playsets for early 2009, but have no plans to release a larger classic playset prior to the movie.

小场景!2009春季!

Q5. Are there plans on giving us more great vehicles like the Devil Fish, Snowcat, etc. I think all of us would absolutely LOVE to see more vehicles. Especially when keeping good variety with larger (Conquest & Rattler) and smaller (RAM Cycle, Armadillo) vehicles.

A5. Yes, we plan on continuing into 2009 with new vehicles that will include a number of newly tooled classic vehicles.
